Global Arts Plus Leadership

Dear Global Arts Plus Families,

I am writing today to inform you about the District’s decision to change the administrative structure at the Global Arts Lower campus and have one principal for each of our two campuses beginning in the 2024-25 school year. This decision comes after listening to staff and hearing community feedback, in addition to my own observations this school year. 

A two principal design will allow each leader to respond more consistently and effectively to student and staff needs, while also giving both leaders the time to focus on the unique strengths and challenges of each campus. 

Principal Chreese Jones will continue to lead our Grades 5-8 Upper Campus, along with Assistant Principal Lynn Bourgoyne.

We will begin a search for a new, full-time principal at our Grades PreK-4 Lower Campus in the coming days and there will no longer be an assistant principal position at the Lower Campus beginning in the 2024-25 school year.

Our goal is to find the best leader for the Lower Campus and GAP community. Once principal candidates are selected, we will conduct school-level interviews. I will keep the school community updated throughout the entire process.

Once the new leader of Global Arts Plus Lower Campus is selected, we will share a simple survey with families and staff. This online survey will serve as a great opportunity for the school community to share what you believe the most important priorities are for your new leader and identify what you are most proud of about your school. 

Our Global Arts Plus program is unique, and having two leaders will make our school that much stronger. We have separate buildings and now two principals, but our school acts as one.
