I'm Mr. Mulhern (he/him/his), and I am the 8th grade Language Arts teacher. This year, I'll also be teaching Coding/Computer Science I, Creative Writing (1st sem) and Broadcast Journalism (2nd sem). This is my 7th year at Global Arts Plus working alongside this amazing team.

I previously was a founding teacher at Art and Science Academy in Isanti, Minnesota, and before that, I taught for Minneapolis Public Schools and ran the Minneapolis Kids after/before school program for its Dowling site. This is my (gulp) 20th year in education and my 14th in the classroom.

I love to work at a school where the arts are integrated into the everyday. It feels like a pretty perfect fit for me to infuse the things I love into my teaching.

I live in Minneapolis with my wife Emily and our two cats, Q-Tip (15) and Mo (11). When I’m not teaching, I love to write, read, play the drums, make music, run, bike, hike and work on film/theatre projects.
