Jim Bierma

I am the Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grade school counselor at Global Arts Plus Lower school. I have been a teacher and school counselor for 37 years. My job is fantastic. It is wonderful to teach classroom lessons, facilitate groups, and counsel individuals in the academic, social/emotional, and college/career domains. Some of my areas of include Equity, a positive school environment, family partnerships, and individual social/emotional counseling. I will teach many classroom lessons each week. 

My wife and I have two daughters and four grandchildren. We spend time with our family as often as possible. I am also a professional jazz musician. My main instrument is the string bass. I also enjoy running, biking, working on counseling projects, and reading.
